Programs

The following programs are outgrowths of the interests of the membership. These activities reflect some of the ways in which members may participate in the organization.

Conferences

National Conference

Held annually on the weekend closest to the feast of Sts. Cosmas and Damian, usually the first weekend in November, the annual conference addresses various topics to challenge, enlighten, and encourage spiritual and intellectual engagement with professional concerns. Held in various parts of the country, it encourages fellowship and the ongoing activities of OCAMPR, and includes the annual Board Meeting. OCAMPR members volunteer their time to create the conference. Members are encouraged to be on the Conference Planning Committee at least once. Suggestions for conference topics and participation in planning are always welcome.

Regional Conferences

Held occasionally to bring members in local areas together to address a topic or achieve specific tasks. Those with suggestions for a Regional Conference are encourage to contact an OCAMPR Board Member with your proposal.

SYNERGEIA E-Journal

Synergeia has been the quarterly print journal of OCAMPR in the past, and now is represented by an E-journal edited by Fr. George Morelli. All OCAMPR members are encouraged to submit either articles they have written for SYNERGEIA or for other professional venues, or send in articles of interest to OCAMPR members which could be placed in the SYNERGEIA Resources page. Email your submissions to Fr. George Morelli at gmorelli@fdu.edu

Publications

In an effort to share the important papers, findings and interactions from national conferences, books are published, highlighting the featured conference themes.

Library

A national library and Resource Guide of books which demonstrate the Orthodox Christian faith as it relates to advances in modern society is available for the members.

Referral Directory

The Referral Directory is still under development and is not currently available on this site. The directory will list the members and identify referral services of Orthodox Christian professionals in various disciplines. This publication will also assist and encourage both fellowship, and resource and professional referrals.
